Are you a caring and reliable Disability Support Worker who enjoys building genuine connections and supporting people to live independently?
Nextt is currently recruiting Disability Support Workers in
Taree to provide ongoing, one-on-one support to two male participants living with spinal cord injuries.
This role would suit someone who is confident providing personal care, daily living assistance and support for complex physical needs. You will work closely with each participant to support their independence, personal goals and community participation.
About the Role Your responsibilities may include:
- Personal care and daily living support
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Medication prompting
- Supporting shopping, appointments and social outings
- Encouraging independence and helping participants achieve their personal goals
- Providing companionship and building positive, professional relationships
Previous experience supporting people with spinal cord injuries or complex physical support needs will be highly regarded.
Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
What You’ll Need To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- A reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
