About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Minto site.
You will be working 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will work closely with the maintenance team to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across a range of mechanical equipment within the factory. You will also analyse equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out preventative, scheduled and shutdown maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.
- Ensuring all relevant procedures and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are completed before maintenance activities commence.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and improve operational performance.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Experience in MIG and TIG welding would be highly advantageous.
- Utilising condition monitoring techniques and the SAP maintenance management system.
- Adhering to safe work practices, identifying hazards, and reporting incidents promptly.
