As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Technical Support Officer to join our team and provide high-level technical support across hardware, software, networks, and cloud platforms.
About the Role
Reporting to the IT Manager, the Technical Support Officer will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining ICT systems, networks, and equipment for our clients. The role combines hands-on technical support with developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, managing systems infrastructure, investigating and resolving system performance issues, and testing the behaviour, functionality, and integrity of systems across our managed client environments and network admin responsibilities, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of client IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for Global Financial Markets (GFM) applications including Bloomberg Terminal, RITs, assisting traders and front-office users with access issues, performance incidents, and application troubleshooting across mission-critical banking and trading environments
- Support and maintain IPC trading communication systems and dealerboard infrastructure, including user provisioning, connectivity troubleshooting, voice service configuration, and ensuring stable and uninterrupted communication for trading operations
- Develop, test, and deploy application packages using SCCM/MECM and PowerShell, performing UAT, regression testing, and operational acceptance testing (OAT) to validate GFM application upgrades, patches, and new deployments prior to production release
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network faults at Level 2/3, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents across trading platforms, endpoints, and enterprise infrastructure in highly regulated financial environments
- Manage and administer Windows 10/11 Enterprise endpoints, Intune and SCCM-managed device fleets, Microsoft 365 tenancies, and Azure workloads; perform server administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, patching, and performance monitoring
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs; monitor network availability and security to ensure continuous uptime for trading and banking-critical systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including system configurations, test procedures, network diagrams, and troubleshooting guides; conduct QA audits and implement ICT quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Prior Australian 3+ years of experience in an ICT supporting Global Financial Markets systems and front office support
- Experience supporting financial applications (e.g. Bloomberg, Austraclear, S&P Capital IQ, IPC Turret system, RITs, Intralink, Symphony) is mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience developing ICT quality assurance procedures and managing systems infrastructure in a managed or enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
- Solid network administration skills (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, routing, VPNs)
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Prior experience in an MSP or financial services IT environment strongly preferred

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
