Full Time | Monday–Friday | Evening Shift | Commercial Cleaning
Clean Feeling is looking for a reliable, proactive and engaged Cleaning Team Leader to lead and support our dedicated commercial cleaning team in Mackay.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help coordinate the cleaning team, train new staff, maintain cleaning standards and quality, support staff throughout each shift and ensure our sites are serviced safely and efficiently.
We're looking for someone with leadership experience in the cleaning industry who takes pride in high standards, communicates well with their team and is confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As a Cleaning Team Leader, you'll be the go-to person for your team — welcoming and training new staff, supporting team members throughout their shifts and ensuring every site meets the Clean Feeling standard.
You'll help keep the team organised, complete quality checks, identify issues early and work with management to keep cleaning operations running smoothly.
This is a Full Time Monday–Friday position, working evenings approximately 4pm–midnight.
You must be available across all 5 days and have a current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, train and support your cleaning team.
✔ Staff Training: Welcome and train new team members and help them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
✔ Quality Control: Complete quality checks and ensure cleaning standards are consistently maintained across our sites.
✔ Cleaning Operations: Support the team with day-to-day commercial cleaning operations, equipment and cleaning products.
✔ Safety & Compliance: Ensure safe and correct cleaning practices, including appropriate use of cleaning products, equipment and WHS procedures.
✔ Problem Solving: Identify challenges early and take proactive steps to keep each shift running smoothly.
✔ Team Communication: Communicate clearly with staff and management and provide support when challenges arise.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year's leadership experience in the cleaning industry
- Experience in commercial cleaning
- Previous experience as a Cleaning Team Leader or senior cleaning role is highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Adaptable and responsive in changing environments
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and techniques
- Understanding of WHS / workplace health and safety practices
- Willingness to obtain White Card and Police Check
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Available Monday–Friday, approximately 4pm–midnight
