Purchasing Coordinator | Design Sheet Metal (Bayswater, VIC)
About the Role
Design Sheet Metal is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support our daily operations and keep things running smoothly.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across purchasing, supplier coordination, and customer service — no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials arrive on time, orders are accurate, and customers receive a seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities

Raise and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers

Ensure accuracy across pricing, quantities, and order details

Track orders and manage supplier lead times

Communicate updates with customers and internal teams

Resolve delivery issues, shortages, or discrepancies quickly

Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate where required

Support the sales team with quotes, orders, and follow-ups

Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in person

Assist across the business as needed in a fast-paced environment

Previous purchasing, admin, or customer service experience preferred
