Join our onsite maintenance team and play a key role in keeping a busy meat processing facility operating safely and efficiently.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician who enjoys hands-on work, fault finding, preventative maintenance and working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out extra-low voltage (ELV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical work, including basic electronics breakdown repairs, maintenance and servicing.
Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
Maintain equipment and the facility to a high standard of presentation and functionality.
Work closely with contractors, staff and other team members while providing a high level of customer service.
Follow workplace health, safety and compliance requirements.
Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to daily maintenance requirements.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Electrical Trade Qualification – essential.
Previous electrical maintenance experience, preferably within a high-paced meat processing or industrial environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience with electrical maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs.
Ability to safely use power tools.
Forklift and EWP/scissor lift experience or licences highly desirable.
The physical capability to safely move and work around equipment.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A self-motivated, reliable and responsible approach to work.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
