About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start or build on your estimating career within a fast-growing electrical engineering business. Working closely with an experienced Senior Estimator, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to live tenders and play an active role in shaping cost estimates across a variety of construction projects.
In this role, you’ll support the end-to-end estimating process helping to put together detailed and accurate costings across materials, labour, plant, subcontractors, and site requirements. You’ll learn how to interpret technical specifications, review supplier and subcontractor pricing, and contribute to the development of competitive tenders that win work.
As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you’ll also build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, while developing your commercial awareness and technical understanding. With guidance and mentoring from senior team members, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skillset, contribute to continuous improvements, and play a meaningful part in delivering successful project outcomes.
How you can support CoMade
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Trade or similar qualification.
Ability to interpret specifications and standards and assess their impact on project costs and ability to accurately assess supplier and contractor quote
Knowledge of construction tendering or project delivery and understanding of pre-contracts
Knowledge of Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems and their application to operational requirements
Proficiency in relevant MS Office computer software packages
High level of communication and inter-personal skills
