Reddam House is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate PDHPE & Health and Movement Science Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school team. Teaching students in Years 7 to 12, you will deliver engaging, NESA-aligned PDHPE and Stage 6 Health and Movement Science programs that inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, physical skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for wellbeing.
Beyond the classroom, you will play an active role in co-curricular activities, sporting programs, and the vibrant life of the school, helping students achieve their full potential academically, physically, and personally.
- Deliver high-quality PDHPE (Years 7-12) and Health & Movement Science (Stage 6) programs aligned to NESA requirements.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support diverse student needs.
- Assess, monitor and provide feedback to support student achievement and growth.
- Foster student wellbeing, resilience, healthy lifestyles and respectful relationships.
- Maintain safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments in both practical and classroom settings.
- Contribute to school sporting programs, carnivals, camps, excursions and other co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
- Uphold Reddam House values, student safeguarding practices and all school policies.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience teaching Stage 6 (PDHPE or HMS) and Stage 4-5 PDHPE (essential).
- Strong knowledge of the NESA PDHPE curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Effective practical and theoretical teaching, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to use assessment data to support student achievement and growth
- Confident using educational technology and innovative teaching practices.
- Strong relationship-building skills and commitment to student wellbeing.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Education with a PDHPE major or equivalent.
- Accreditation with NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority).
- Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Participation in playground supervision, pick-up/drop-off duties, and general student supervision.
- Willingness to attend school events and activities outside regular hours, including performances, sporting events, and parent-teacher evenings.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
