Join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Clinician, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care across a range of settings. We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of RN/M2C Clinical Nurse or AHP2 Social Worker, contributing their unique expertise to our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
As a Social Worker, you will apply your clinical knowledge, experience and professional competence to plan, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive range of services that meet the needs of consumers accessing the Local Health Network Mental Health Service and the local community.
Working with reduced clinical direction, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with health professionals and service providers across sectors to deliver preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluation services. You may also contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students.
Essential Criteria
Please note that this position is multi-classified as either an AHP2 or an RN/M2C.
For Clinical Nurse (RN2/MC)
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate.
Be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Have a minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration mental health experience and demonstrated leadership in guiding less experienced staff.
For Mental Health Social Worker (AHP2)
You must hold a recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
You must be able to demonstrate AHP2 level competencies for appointment at this level.
Be commitment to ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.
Have experience in delivering integrated mental health services and contributing to clinical supervision of other professionals.
