Senior Merchandise Planner - Based in Sydney
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a well-established Australian premium fashion retailer to appoint a
Senior Merchandise Planner who will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance across both retail and ecommerce channels.
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you'll own end-to-end merchandise planning, partnering closely with Product, Retail and senior leadership to influence key business decisions. This is a highly commercial role where your insights will directly shape inventory investment, forecasting, assortment strategy and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead seasonal and annual merchandise financial planning
- Own OTB, forecasting, inventory investment and stock optimisation
- Deliver weekly and monthly trade analysis, identifying opportunities and risks
- Drive inventory productivity through allocation, replenishment and markdown strategies
- Partner with Product, Retail and Ecommerce teams to optimise ranging and assortment decisions
- Produce commercial reporting and present actionable insights to senior leadership
- Support wholesale planning and inventory performance across multiple channels
About You:
You'll be an experienced Merchandise Planner or Senior Merchandise Planner who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys using data to influence commercial outcomes.
You'll bring:
- 4+ years' experience in Merchandise Planning within apparel or fashion retail
- Strong experience across forecasting, OTB, WSSI and inventory management
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Buying, Product, Retail and Ecommerce teams
- A commercially minded approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to challenge, influence and drive business performance
