We’re looking for an experienced estimator to take ownership of our estimating process across custom homes, major extensions and renovations.
This is a senior role for someone who understands Australian residential construction, produces accurate and complete estimates, and communicates confidently with subcontractors, suppliers and our internal team.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Detailed take-offs and trade packages Reviewing plans, engineering and specifications Obtaining and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes Identifying pricing gaps, risks and missing information Preparing clear inclusions, exclusions and allowances Maintaining accurate rates and cost databases Improving our estimating systems and processes Handing completed budgets over to the construction team
About You
You must:
- Be currently based in Australia Have at least five years of residential estimating experience, with ten or more preferred Have experience with Australian custom homes, extensions and renovations Understand Australian construction methods, trades and terminology Read architectural and engineering plans confidently Have excellent written and spoken English Be accurate, commercially aware and highly organised Take ownership and work without constant supervision
Experience with Buildxact or similar software would be an advantage.
