The Role
The Massage Therapist will play a key role in designing and delivering therapeutic body-based intervention programs that support sensory regulation, body awareness, movement confidence, relaxation, and functional participation for children with developmental and sensory challenges.
The position will also contribute to the development of online educational resources, video training programs, and family coaching materials integrating therapeutic massage principles, sensory rehabilitation strategies, and body-awareness techniques.
This role will also support COORDIKIDS' expansion into Spanish-speaking markets through the creation and delivery of bilingual educational resources and parent training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver therapeutic massage and body-awareness programs designed to support sensory regulation and physical wellbeing.
- Create educational content for parents regarding therapeutic touch, relaxation strategies, proprioceptive input, body awareness, and self-regulation.
- Participate in the design of courses, webinars, and recorded training modules.
- Develop rehabilitation-focused resources that assist families supporting children with sensory processing and developmental challenges.
- Provide guidance on therapeutic techniques that may assist with muscle tension, postural awareness, movement confidence, relaxation, and body regulation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals involved in child development and family support services.
- Contribute to the development of innovative intervention programs incorporating sensory and body-based therapeutic approaches.
- Translate, adapt, and deliver educational materials in both English and Spanish.
- Support the organisation's growth into international Spanish-speaking markets through culturally appropriate family education programs.
- Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and improving client outcomes through evidence-informed practice.
Essential Requirements
- Qualification recognised for employment as a Massage Therapist.
- Demonstrated experience in therapeutic rehabilitation and body-based intervention approaches.
- Advanced understanding of sensory processing, sensory regulation, body awareness, and developmental needs.
- Experience creating educational resources, training materials, programs, or family support content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional-level English language skills.
- Native or fluent Spanish language skills.
Highly Desirable
- Formal training in Sensory Integration and sensory rehabilitation approaches.
- Knowledge of international and multicultural service delivery
- Experience working with children presenting developmental delays, sensory processing differences, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyspraxia, or related conditions.
- Experience delivering parent coaching and family education programs.
- Experience developing digital learning resources and recorded training content.
Pay: From $77,000.00 per year
