Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations, financial performance, and guest experiences across our venue. As a key leader in our business, you will manage front-of-house staff, coordinate with the kitchen team, optimize profitability, and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Operations Management: Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue to ensure exceptional customer service, smooth service flow, and high standards of hospitality.
- Financial & Performance Control: Monitor and manage venue budgets, labour costs, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Analyze sales data, manage stock control, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Staff Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house staff and supervisors. Foster a positive team environment, conduct performance reviews, and ensure staff adhere to service standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, food safety programs, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) legislation.
- Customer & Community Relations: Proactively manage customer feedback, resolve complaints efficiently, and build strong relationships with regular patrons to enhance the brand's local reputation.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, manage inventory ordering, and coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain stock levels and ensure seamless service.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required
- Education: An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hospitality Management (ANZSCO Skill Level 2); OR at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar fast-paced restaurant management or supervisory role.
- Technical & System Skills: Proficiency in modern point-of-sale (POS) management systems (e.g., Square for Restaurants or Lightspeed), staff scheduling platforms, and basic digital communication tools.
- Compliance Certification: Valid Western Australia Approved Manager Licence (or ability to obtain one), Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, and Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with a strong ability to work under pressure during peak service times.
