About the role
Permanent full-time opportunity to provide supervised clinical care while progressing toward specialist qualification in Ophthalmology. You will work across outpatient clinics and theatre, developing surgical independence, supporting junior staff, and contributing to audit, research, and quality improvement within a leading tertiary hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
To develop clinical efficiency through patient management and pathways.
Improve autonomous operating ability.
To be involved in educational and supervisory services to the junior ophthalmology registrars, residents as well as medical students.
Maintain the process of clinical cataract audit.
Participate in the Ophthalmology Outpatient clinics at RBWH and associated facilities to help manage new and review OPD patient appointments as well as post-ops.
