About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) supports people and communities across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and the Banana region, walking alongside more than 250,000 people when they need specialist mental health and alcohol and other drugs care. Rockhampton is our main hub, where we provide acute adult inpatient care and coordinate the administration of the Mental Health Act 2016.
Beyond the hospital setting, we also support recovery closer to home through services like the Step Up Step Down facility in Gladstone and the Community Care Unit in Rockhampton. Across all of our programs, we work closely with hospitals, community organisations, primary care and private providers - because we know recovery is strongest when care is connected, compassionate, and wrapped around the whole person.
About the role:
Provides senior clinical leadership within the Rockhampton Crisis Support Space, supporting a peer-led model of care for people experiencing mental health and AOD crisis in a safe, non-emergency department environment.

Works collaboratively with peer workers, consumers, families, carers, ED staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated, person-centred crisis care and smooth service navigation.
