We are seeking an enthusiastic Radiation Oncologist (0.1 EFT available) based in the Urology Unit at Parkville. This role will commence 13 July 2026.

Position Summary
This position is a permanent part-time consultant radiation oncologist post (0.1FTE) available for appointment from 13 July 13, 2026. The successful candidate will be based in the Genitourinary Cancers tumour stream. This position will be based at the Peter Mac Parkville Campus with involvement in campus-wide chart round and MDMs.
This position is defined by the following key attributes:
Provision of high quality Radiation Oncology clinical and consultative services.
Contribution to educational activities for medical and other health undergraduates and graduate students within Peter Mac and externally.
Contribution to research activities within the department, Organisation and externally as appropriate to seniority, expertise and collaborations.
Contribution to departmental and hospital administration, planning and development as appropriate to seniority and experience.
Development and maintenance of relationships with external bodies.

Skills
Essential Requirements
Medical qualification registrable in Victoria
Postgraduate qualification Radiation Oncology-FRANZCR or equivalent as recognized by RANZCR
Satisfactory participation in the RANZCR CME program
Desirable Requirements
Prior experience as a consultant Radiation Oncologist
Experience in clinical leadership
Higher medical degree (e.g. MD / PhD)
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with external agencies
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with medical, paramedical and clerical staff
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, referring practitioners and other members in the community

1. Providing clinical services in Radiation Oncology to patients of Peter Mac and other service providers as relevant to the site location, as directed by the Director of Radiation Oncology, in consultation with the Clinical Service Director where relevant.
Appropriate performance of clinical duties as required; attendance at multi-disciplinary meetings, specialist and multidisciplinary consultative clinics, radiotherapy planning and quality assurance clinics; attendance at theatre sessions as relevant to scope of practice; oversight of in-patient care
2. Contributing to educational and research activities within the institute.
Evidence of involvement in radiation oncology registrar training and assessment.
Contribution to development of clinical and translational research studies within and external to Peter Mac
Presentation and publication of research activities
3. Participating in clinical reviews and audits, analysis and evaluation of treatment protocols and quality assurance programs.
Documentation of clinical reviews and audits, and documented involvement in quality assurance activities.
4. Participating in continuing medical education (CME) and professional revalidation as recommended by the relevant professional body.
Documented participation in CME that meets RANZCR guidelines.
5. Contributing to hospital management and strategic planning and development activities as appropriate to seniority and experience.
Evidence of involvement in hospital committee activities and planning activities
6. Contributing to external professional organisations (e.g. RANZCR, TROG) and activities representing Peter Mac or contributing to national and international advances in Radiation Oncology.
Evidence of involvement with external local, national or international organisations contributing to advances in cancer care.
7. To set and achieve annual performance objectives.
Achievement of individual goals agreed at the last performance review.
