Sush for Sushi has been proudly serving quality sushi to the Hobart community for over 18 years, with 70+ staff working across four sites in Southern Hobart.
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time or Casual Kitchenhand to join our wholesale kitchen/warehouse team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced wholesale environment. Duties include:
- Cooking and preparing sushi rice
- Sushi rolling and preparation
- Extensive knife work
- Packing sushi products for grocers
- Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning
- Occasional delivery of sushi products
Shifts & Hours
- Must be available to start as early as 3:00am on occasion
- 6–7.5 hour shifts
- Monday to Saturday availability preferred (not mandatory)
- Ability to work up to 5 days per week for part-time roles
- Saturday availability would be an advantage
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must be:
- Hardworking, self-motivated, and punctual
- Focused and flexible with shifts
- Physically fit — able to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg comfortably
- Have a good back and enjoy physical work
- Comfortable working in an early-morning environment

- Some kitchen experience preferred (but not essential for the right person)
