The Opportunity
This is a unique Property role in Brisbane in will be part of an integrated commercial group with a Partner that is one of Australia's leading forces in the Transport sector, a sector that is currently undergoing shifts, developments and progression within a zero emission framework. You will interact with energy providers and charging infrastructure providers, and negotiating purchase or lease agreements with OEMs for zero emission vehicles.
Aligned with a leading Queensland commercial practice, you be part of an integrated group as a 2IC of sorts, handling all the Property aspects. More broadly the practice spans transport, logistics and infrastructure sectors. The team acts for a range of industry participants, including transport operators, manufacturers, suppliers and government entities, providing commercially focused advice on matters that are critical to the delivery and operation of essential infrastructure throughout Australia.
As investment in transport infrastructure and emerging technologies continues to accelerate, the team is increasingly engaged on projects involving new energy solutions, operational facilities and evolving asset requirements across the sector. You do not need to bring specific transport sector expertise but more so that you can provide senior counsel around the following:
- Commercial, industrial and infrastructure leasing
- Property acquisitions and disposals
- Due diligence and transaction support
- Development and infrastructure-related property arrangements
- Property aspects of corporate and commercial transactions
- Asset management and operational property matters
- Strategic advice relating to transport depots, logistics facilities and associated infrastructure
This role will suit a senior property lawyer looking to advance through to Special Counsel and who enjoys integrated team delivery and the commercial aspects of securing the best outcome for the client.

About You
- 5+ years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial property practice
- Strong experience across leasing, acquisitions, disposals and general property transactions
- Exposure to infrastructure, transport, logistics, government or major projects work will be highly regarded
- Commercially minded with the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
