The role of Field Calibration Technician is pivotal in the growth strategy of Trescal Australia.

The role of the Field Calibration Technician is to perform calibrations, verifications, and repair services. To ensure that the calibration tasks and repairs being performed by Trescal Australia are of a high standard and comply with NATA and other regulatory requirements in the field. Service budgets also need to be met, and good customer service is a key pillar of success in the role given you are the face of the business when on customer sites.
Responsibilities:

Perform calibrations, verifications, testing, preventative maintenance and repairs as requested by the customer and instructed by the Field Team Leader for our customers.
- Ensure all calibrations are performed as per documented Trescal calibration procedures.
- Ensure all jobs are completed in a timely fashion with best possible TAT
- Ensure that reports are accurate and error free before they are submitted to Service Coordinators, Tema Leaders or clients
- Ensure all issues with spreadsheets and or calibration equipment are brought to the attention of the Team Leader, as soon as possible.
- Participate to ensure that the nominated monthly invoiced work target is achieved.
- Be involved and responsible for resolving first line customer queries and complaints as required.
- Participate and encourage teamwork within the service area and company as a whole.
- Delivering service to company KPI’s and QA
- Maintenance and calibration of internal equipment
- Ensure any Laptops and Phones provided are treated with care and maintained in good order. Any problems, loss or damage are to be brought to the attention of your Lab Manager or State Manager
- Ensure any personal accident occurring on site or in Trescal Labs is reported to your Team Leader or Branch Manager and OHS Officer immediately.
- Ensure risk assessments, JSA, SWMS are completed as appropriate
- Participation in field management meetings and laboratory toolbox meetings
- Assist with pricing and quoting as directed by the Team Leader
- Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Field Team Leader or Branch Manager
Key Requirements
Essential
-
Trade qualification or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in process instrumentation calibration and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel regionally and work overtime as required
Highly Desirable

Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 or NATA-accredited environments
- Exposure to PLC/SCADA systems
- Industry experience (mining, oil & gas, water, manufacturing)
- High-risk work licences (confined space, working at heights, etc.)

Working Conditions

Normal working conditions, OT as required by the business and agreed by the employee
- Working across South Australia and occasionally interstate on customer sites.
- Frequent stays in hotels for job duration
