About Us
LOJ Supports is a clinical-led complex care provider serving the Gold Coast and Southern Brisbane. Unlike generalist providers, our supports are led by a clinical team, meaning our support workers are backed by real clinical oversight, not left to navigate complex needs alone. We work with participants who have high-intensity support needs, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, complex behaviour support, and epilepsy management.
The Role
We're building a casual support worker pool for participants with complex clinical needs. Shifts will vary in hours and location across the Gold Coast and Southern Brisbane, and every support worker is trained and supervised by our clinical team, so you're never working in complex environments without proper preparation and backup.
No experience in complex care? That's okay. We care more about your work ethic, reliability, and genuine willingness to learn than a long resume. If you're the kind of person who shows up, pays attention, asks questions, and wants to build real skills in a clinically supported environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting participants with daily living tasks, personal care, and community access
- Working alongside and under the guidance of our clinical team as you build complex care skills
- Following individualised support and clinical care plans accurately and consistently
- Communicating clearly with our coordination and clinical staff about participant wellbeing
- Building genuine, respectful relationships with participants and their families
What We're Looking For
- A strong work ethic and reliability, you show up, you follow through
- Genuine eagerness to learn and grow into complex care work
- Comfortable receiving feedback and clinical guidance, and applying it
- Good communication skills and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to work independently once trained, while knowing when to ask for support
- Own reliable transport and a current driver's licence (highly regarded, most shifts require travel between participants)
Experience in disability support, aged care, nursing, or complex care is a bonus, but not required. We invest in training the right people, not just hiring a qualification.
Requirements to Apply (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check, if applicable to your role
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or Disability (highly regarded, not essential)
- Full Australian work rights
