About the role
The Administration Officer provides efficient administrative support to the Emergency Department at Redcliffe Hospital. The role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of patient-centred healthcare through the provision of high-quality customer service, accurate data management and effective administrative assistance within a fast-paced clinical environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to support patient administration processes, maintain accurate records, provide reception and information services, and assist with a range of operational activities. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, teamwork and a commitment to delivering compassionate and professional service to patients, families and visitors.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide high-quality administrative and reception support services that contribute to the effective operation of the Emergency Department.
Accurately collect, process and maintain patient information, admissions, registrations and related documentation in accordance with hospital protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Deliver professional and compassionate customer service to patients, visitors and staff while responding appropriately to enquiries and requests for assistance.
Support clinicians and the multidisciplinary team through the completion of administrative tasks, data entry and patient administration activities.
Manage competing priorities effectively, exercise sound judgement and contribute positively to a collaborative and patient-focused team environment.
