Group Supervisor – Social Support Groups
Location: St Kilda, VIC (with travel to other sites as required)
Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time positions available
Classification: SACS Level 2 ($34.58 to $37.73 per hour)
About the role
We're seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Group Supervisor – Social Support Groups to join our Wellness & Social Support team. As a Group Supervisor, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating Social Support Group and Centre-Based Respite programs for older adults.
In this rewarding role, you'll coordinate and facilitate engaging group programs for older people, including those experiencing cognitive changes, helping them maintain social connections, independence, and wellbeing. Every day brings the opportunity to create meaningful experiences and support people to remain active and connected within their communities. Working closely with clients, carers, volunteers, and the broader Wellness & Social Support team, you'll create engaging activities that promote social participation, wellbeing, and independence. You'll also provide hands-on support to clients, oversee daily group operations, and help ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan and facilitate engaging group activities and outings.
- Promote client wellbeing, independence, and social connection.
- Provide support with personal care, meals, mobility, and transport as required.
- Coordinate volunteers and support workers during group activities.
- Liaise with carers, families, and health professionals.
What you'll bring:
- Experience working within aged care, community health, or social support programs.
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, Leisure and Health, Fitness, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience facilitating group-based activities and programs.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and positive ageing.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence and willingness to drive an 11-seater bus (desirable).
