5th Earl Rosebery is a vibrant neighbourhood café located in The Cannery, known for exceptional coffee, fresh seasonal food and genuine hospitality. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Front of House Supervisor to lead our service team and help deliver an outstanding experience for every guest.
About the Role
As the Front of House Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the café floor, ensuring smooth service, excellent customer satisfaction and strong team performance. You will lead by example, maintain high service standards and support the management team in creating a positive and professional workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the front of house team during service.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest enquiries professionally.
- Coordinate daily floor operations to ensure efficient and seamless service.
- Train, mentor and motivate team members.
- Manage staff breaks, section allocation and shift performance.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety.
- Work closely with the kitchen to ensure timely food and beverage service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels of front of house supplies and communicate ordering requirements.
- Foster a positive, energetic and team-focused culture.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a café or restaurant supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Barista experience is highly regarded.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
- Current NSW RSA.
