About the Role
Buckland Aged Care is seeking an energetic, hardworking and reliable Gardener to join our Maintenance team. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position (7:30am – 4:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays) working across the grounds of our retirement village.
Key Responsibilities

Undertake general grounds and garden maintenance including lawn mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding and general upkeep
- Ensure all duties are completed safely in accordance with Work Health and Safety requirements
- Work cooperatively with other members of the garden and maintenance team
- Assist the broader Maintenance team when required
- Report to the Maintenance Manager and follow directions as needed
The ideal candidate will

Have a keen interest in gardening and working outdoors
- Have experience using gardening tools and equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Deliver quality work to a high standard within set timeframes
- Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Have a positive “can-do” attitude and work well as part of a team

Pre-Employment Requirements
To be considered for employment, candidates must be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Clearance and undertake pre-employment medical assessments.
