Bartender
Yankees Surfers Paradise is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced bartender to join our team. We are looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and can deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, beers, wines, shots, and other beverages to a high standard.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
- Complete bar opening and closing procedures, including preparation, cleaning, restocking, and securing the bar.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate low-stock items to management.
- Assist with stock deliveries, rotation and storage of beverages and bar supplies.
- Operate the POS system accurately and process cash and card transactions.
- Ensure all drinks are prepared consistently according to venue standards and recipes.
- Follow Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements and venue policies.
- Monitor customer behavior and escalate any issues to management when required.
- Train and assist new bartenders and other team members with bar procedures, drink preparation, POS operation, and venue standards.
- Support other team members during busy periods and work effectively as part of the wider hospitality team.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the venue, including glassware, bar equipment, work areas, and surrounding service areas.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Assist management with day-to-day venue operations when required.
- Perform other reasonable duties associated with the role as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
- Current Queensland RSA certificate.
- Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy venue.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous experience training staff is highly regarded.

Pay: $31.44 – $36.66 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 28.0 per week
