About the Role
As the Senior Estimating Manager, you will lead John Holland's estimating function across major infrastructure, rail and building opportunities in W.A, driving the development of competitive, innovative and commercially robust tender submissions. Working closely with business leaders, clients, consultants and delivery teams, you will provide strategic leadership across estimating, cost planning and bid development, ensuring solutions are client-focused, risk-informed and aligned with business objectives. You will also play a key role in building estimating capability, fostering high-performing teams and strengthening relationships with clients, industry partners and key stakeholders to support sustainable growth across the region.
What will you do
Lead the end-to-end tendering and estimating process, ensuring accurate, competitive and commercially sound submissions for major infrastructure and construction projects.
Develop and manage project cost plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts and tender reporting, ensuring estimates are based on realistic methodologies, timelines and cost structures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders to support successful bid outcomes and project delivery.
Oversee commercial and contractual activities, including subcontractor negotiations, tender clarifications, compliance requirements and adherence to relevant industry and legislative standards.
Provide leadership and governance across estimating and cost planning functions, driving high performance, continuous improvement, and excellence in safety, risk management and compliance.
What we are looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications in Project Management highly regarded.
Extensive leadership experience in estimating and project delivery, with a proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure and construction projects.
Strong commercial, contractual and financial management expertise, including cost planning, budget management, risk mitigation, legislative compliance and value optimisation.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships, with experience across a variety of delivery models is preferred.
