Bookings Officer
Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Part Time (16 hours per week until April 2027) | $36.76 per hour + super
Are you a highly organised administrator who loves helping people and keeping things running smoothly? Our Community & Recreation team is looking for a Bookings Officer to support the coordination of sporting facility and community space bookings across the municipality. In this role, you’ll be the friendly, reliable point of contact for clubs, community groups and residents. You’ll manage booking systems, maintain accurate records, process invoices and payments, and ensure our facilities are accessible, well managed and ready for use. You’ll also play a key part in communicating with stakeholders and supporting the delivery of valued community services. What you'll do
- Coordinate and manage bookings for sporting facilities and community spaces across the municipality.
- Deliver excellent customer service to community groups, sporting clubs and residents seeking information or support.
- Process invoices and payments efficiently and in line with organisational procedures.
- Communicate with stakeholders to confirm bookings, resolve queries and support smooth facility operations.
- Ensure facilities are accessible, well managed and ready for use, supporting positive community experiences.
- Assist with general administration within the Community & Recreation team to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll bring
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines confidently.
- Excellent customer service and a friendly, professional approach when supporting community members and sporting groups.
- Attention to detail to ensure records, bookings, invoices and payments are accurate and well maintained.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with stakeholders and internal teams.
