Details: The Education Directorate is reshaping how its central office works so it can better support schools, students, staff, government and the ACT community. The multidisciplinary organisation design team will deliver a challenging program of discovery, design and implementation to reshape how the directorate operates and is structured. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation organisation reform program that will help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
The Assistant Director, program delivery and management will play an important role in delivering defined parts of the organisation design work program and maintaining the program management discipline that keeps the work organised, visible and moving. The role will manage program work, coordinate activity across teams and stakeholders, and maintain core program artefacts including plans, status reports, registers, issue logs, decision records and governance materials.
This role will suit someone who is practical, structured and comfortable taking ownership of work in a complex and evolving environment. You will help turn program intent into completed deliverables, making sure priorities are clear, risks and issues are visible, actions are followed through and progress is maintained.
As the reform agenda matures, work programs, reporting arrangements and team structures may evolve. We are looking for people who are comfortable working flexibly in a changing environment and who want to help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
