Garrawarra Centre thrives on providing quality, person - centred care for elderly people who have a primary diagnosis of Dementia and associated behaviours. We work closely with experts in the field such as Geriatricians and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure a high level of care is provided.
Where you'll be working
Garrawarra Centre is a 104 bed Dementia Specific Residential Aged Care Facility located in the tranquil setting of Garrawarra State Conservation Area, Waterfall. The Centre is one of the few purpose-built, dementia specific facilities in New South Wales.
There is ample, free on-site parking but you will need your own reliable transport as Garrawarra is not accessible by any public transport.

Provision of support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Provide direct care activities to residents with dementia in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assist Registered and Enrolled Nurses with resident care interventions as directed
Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
Communicate effectively with residents and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
