The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Gold Coast Building Structures team. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Engineer to continue their career development pathway towards leadership opportunities. This role offers a balance of hands-on design, project leadership, client engagement and team development across small to medium-sized buildings, existing-building assessments and strengthening projects. You will also contribute to larger projects as part of a regional team.
In this role, you will:
- Undertake structural design of small to medium sized buildings, including assessment and strengthening of existing buildings
- Participate in large structural engineering projects working with multi-disciplinary teams across Queensland and interstate to provide high-quality and innovative engineering solutions
- Support bid responses and price work, forming part of a bid team to identify and win new work
- Undertake Site Supervision roles as required

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for a collaborative and commercially aware structural engineer who can combine strong technical judgement with effective project and client leadership. You will bring:
- A Bachelor of Engineering recognised under the Washington Accord, RPEQ registration and at least seven years of relevant building structures experience.
- Strong structural design capability, with sound knowledge of Australian codes and practices, contract administration and submission procedures.
- Experience leading technical design, managing small to medium-sized projects and taking ownership of fees, budgets, resources, commercial risks and deadlines.
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts, work across disciplines and liaise directly with clients with minimal supervision.
- A commitment to developing others and an aspiration to lead a small team
- Skills in Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit or programming would be advantageous but are not essential.

Located in Bundall, the design elements are inspired by the Gold Coast's coastal and hinterland landscapes, and the office is well located to cafes, restaurants, transport hubs and stunning views of the Nerang River.
