Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Dishwashing & Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness, sanitize equipment, and keep work areas clean to health and safety standards.
- Food Preparation: Assist with basic knife skills, trimming, slicing, and preparing fresh ingredients for daily service.
- Portioning & Prep: Measure and portion ingredients accurately according to menu specifications.
- Service Assistance: Help during line service with basic cooking tasks, plating dishes, and supporting the head chef.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory, organize storage, and practice strict FIFO stock rotation.
Requirements
- Basic kitchen experience or formal culinary training (experience in Japanese cuisine is a bonus, but not required).
- Good basic knife skills and a general understanding of kitchen food safety standards.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy services.
- A team-player attitude with a strong desire to learn and improve skills.
