The Opportunity
As our Chief People Officer, you will help shape the future of Kinyara by building the leadership, culture and workforce capability that enable exceptional care for our communities. With a caring heart and a commercially astute people lens, you will lead a contemporary people agenda that fosters performance, strengthens culture and empowers our teams to thrive and deliver meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the organisation's people strategy and provide executive oversight of the full employee lifecycle ensuring workforce capability, engagement and performance

Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to drive organisational effectiveness, culture, workforce planning, and strategic decision-making

Champion a culture where people feel connected, supported and empowered to do their best work, while strengthening employee engagement, wellbeing and belonging.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring our people practices support both performance and care.

Coach and support leaders across the organisation to navigate change, inspire their teams and create positive workplace experiences.

Lead and develop the People & Culture function, creating a trusted, responsive and commercially minded team that supports our communities and operations.

Ensure Kinyara's people practices reflect our commitment to safety, fairness, inclusion and compliance while maintaining a strong focus on employee experience.

Act as a custodian of Kinyara's culture, bringing our values to life and ensuring they remain embedded as the organisation grows.
Role will require regular travel interstate and across our 3 sites in Carrum Downs, Tullamarine and Balaclava. Hybrid role with flexibility.
About You
You bring:

Proven executive leadership experience, with a track record of shaping people, culture and organisational strategies that support growth, performance and sustainable success

Strong expertise across the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, performance, succession and employee engagement

Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance people outcomes with business priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment

Experience leading organisations through growth, change and transformation while maintaining trust, engagement and cultural alignment

Proven success leading high-performing People & Culture teams and fostering values-led, accountable, and high-performing workplace cultures

A genuine commitment to creating workplaces that are safe, inclusive and reflective of the communities they serve.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology, or a related discipline; experience in healthcare, aged care, disability services, or other for-purpose driven sectors
