The Campaign Manager plays a key role in the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic communications plans and campaigns across the early childhood portfolio teams. The Campaign Manager will lead the delivery of best practice and evidence-based communications that concisely communicates the education and training narrative to our staff and the broader public.

The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Communications Division collaborates with key stakeholders to strategically shape and deliver communication and community engagement opportunities. The division is responsible for the delivery of communications on behalf of the department to support and improve Victoria's education system.
The division supports the Victorian Government priorities in early childhood development and school education. This includes engaging with the Department's workforce, supporting the implementation of policies and reforms, protecting, and strengthening the reputation of our education and communications support and advice to the Victorian Government.

About the role
The Campaign Manager will work within an established team and play a key role in the development, delivery, and evaluation of early childhood education campaigns. This is a fixed term full time role until 30th June 2027.
The Campaign Manager:
- Works with various program and policy area teams across the early childhood group to plan and deliver a range communication and campaign tactics to promote Free Kinder and career and recruitment opportunities in Victorian kindergartens
- Manages positive, respectful, and productive relationships between program areas and other teams within the Communications Division.
- Provides expert advice in planning and delivering communications and marketing activities, including in media implementation.
- Works with a range of third-party suppliers on media buying, creative development, research, evaluation and public relations activities.
- Manages a campaign budget including raising purchase orders, processing supplier invoices, and accruals
- Report on and evaluates all activity, using insights to further develop the campaign
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant experience in advertising campaigns.
- Communication experience in the Victorian Government or public sector is highly desirable.
- Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification Communications
