- Appropriate qualifications for teaching in specialised subject area
- Clearance to work with children - registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Entitled to live and work in Australia
- A commitment and capacity to contribute to the College’s co-curricular program
- Completion of Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations (training provided by DoE Victoria)

Child Safety at ELTHAM College
All staff at ELTHAM College are responsible for providing a safe environment and the protection of children and young people
within our care, including promoting physical, emotional and cultural safety. All staff are responsible for reporting information
about suspected child abuse. All staff share in the responsibility for the prevention and detection of child abuse and promptly
raise any issues or concerns about a child’s safety. All staff are required to follow the School’s Child Safe policies and Child Safety
Code of Conduct.
ELTHAM College takes a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and is fully committed to ensuring that its strategies,
policies, procedures, and practices meet all Child Safe Standards as specified in Ministerial Order No. 1359 (2022). All applicants
