About the role
The Business Support Administrator provides a range of administrative and transactional services to support the effective and efficient delivery of day-to-day business operations.
The role undertakes a variety of generalist and moderately complex administrative tasks, including the preparation of reports, submissions, and correspondence, and supports the planning and coordination of meetings, workshops, and events, including preparation of agendas, minute-taking, and distribution of associated materials.
The role also assists with the completion and collation of correspondence, briefs, calendar management, HR and finance forms, ensuring administrative processes are accurate, timely and consistent with established procedures and guidelines.
About Parks Victoria Maritime and Waterways team
Parks Victoria manages over 4 million hectares across 3,000 land and marine parks-covering 18% of Victoria's landmass, 75% of its wetlands, and 70% of its coastline. The role sits within the Planning and Coordination Team, within the Maritime and Waterways Operations Unit. The Planning and Coordination team provides an array of services that support on-ground operations across the Maritime and Waterways Directorate.
We're looking for someone with:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in business administration, office management, customer service, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative, coordination and logistical support in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Relevant knowledge and practical skills to support the delivery of business and administrative functions, including records and data management, processing of administrative and financial transactions, coordination of meetings, and preparation of documentation and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver routine and moderately complex administrative activities under and as part of a team, contributing to the efficient operation of business processes and the effective support of Parks Victoria programs and services.
