Liverpool Hospital is expanding its advanced haematology and cellular immunotherapies framework. An opportunity exists for a highly skilled, motivated and collaborative leader for the role of CNC 2 CAR-T Care Co-ordinator.
As the primary clinical anchor for the Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell (CAR-T) pathway, the clinician bridges the clinical, administrative and industrial steps required to provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and health professionals.
The CNC develops, facilitates, implements and evaluates care management plans, provides leadership and acts as role model.
The CNC contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education program and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team members to support the delivery of care.

CAR-T Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a highly skilled, clinically expert, and patient-centred nursing professional who demonstrates advanced practice capabilities in cellular therapies, haematology, oncology, and complex care coordination

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CAR-T cell therapy, haematological malignancies, immunotherapy and cellular therapies

Applies evidence – based practice to support optimal patient outcomes

Acts as a clinical leader and expert resource for nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues

Effectively communicates complex clinical information to patients, families and multidisciplinary teams

Works effectively within multidisciplinary team, including haematologists, transplant physicians, pharmacist, intensive care clinicians, allied health professionals and laboratory services.

Demonstrates advanced assessment and clinical reasoning skills.

Participates in quality improvement and clinical audit activities.

Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time experience in the malignant haematology care field. An approved post graduate nursing qualifications in Haematology/Cancer Nursing or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.

Please describe your experience in the care of patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy or other cellular therapies. Include your involvement across the patient journey, from referral work and work up to infusion and post treatment monitoring

Provide an example of how you have led or contributed to quality improvement, patient safety or service development initiative. Describe your role and the impact of the initiative.
Describe your experience in providing education, mentoring or support to families, nursing staff or other health care professionals. How did you assess learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of your approach?
