UPA is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Ascott Gardens, a 78-bed Residential Aged Care home in Orange NSW.
This full-time role offers a great opportunity to lead a team of Chefs, Cooks and Food Services Assistants while delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the wellbeing of our residents.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations
- Plan menus and prepare nutritious meals
- Ensure compliance with food safety and legislative requirements
- Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets
- Support and develop kitchen team members
- Maintain high standards of food quality and resident satisfaction
About You
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Head Chef, Chef or Cook Manager role
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements
- Experience with menu planning, dietary requirements and kitchen management
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Aged care or healthcare experience is highly regarded but not essential.
