About the role:
The Administration/Property role is a key position in supporting the daily operations of our frontline staff.
The advertised position is a fixed term full-time position (1.0 FTE) that reports to the Officer in Charge at Geelong Police Station. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and property support services predominantly to members at the Geelong Police Station. You may also provide this support on an "as needs" basis to other surrounding stations in the Geelong Police Service area, Division One

Your duties will include:
- A wide range of general office support duties, including data entry and the use of various software applications relevant to the role with a high level of care and accuracy.
- Collection, distribution and recording of incoming and outgoing correspondence and police briefs.
- Assist with property management, including lost and confiscated property, and associated paperwork and data entry.
- Utilisation and maintenance of general office equipment.
- Liaising with contractors for property maintenance and raising the relevant work orders and ensuring works are actioned.
- Attending to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Archiving and records management.
- Secretariat duties for local Management meetings.
- Working in a team environment that is inclusive of all staff at the station.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in working with computers and a wide range of programs and applications for data entry and records management and a willingness to learn new applications as needed for the role.
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as being able to work autonomously and prioritise work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written in all formats and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders relevant to the role.
- Have good organisation skills, be able to multitask and problem solve where required with a positive attitude.
Further Information:
- One (1) x full-time, fixed term position available till 19 February 2027.
- This position is located at Geelong Police Station, 110 Mercer Street, Geelong.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
