Regional Road Network Maintenance (RRNM) is Transports’ internal delivery partner for Regional NSW. RRNM North contributes to the role of steward for many assets in Region North, which are predominantly State roads and bridges and other similar type infrastructure. RRNM North operates in the ‘maintain’ part of the asset lifecycle for these assets, and has accountability for the efficient delivery of Transport’s programs and projects, including asset maintenance, road safety, along with some capital growth and improvement works.
We have multiple ongoing, full time opportunities available within our Northern Bridges team in Tamworth and Ballina (and seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities in Grafton). The Bridges Northern Team are responsible for a vast array of maintenance projects, rebuilding of specialist structures and a range of slope remediation projects including major crossings of the Great Dividing Range.
In this role, you'll:
Complete work activities to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work including completing relevant reports.
Solve routine problems that arise and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
Understand and maintain knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.
Assist supervisors and team members with administrative tasks, including documentation, records management and reporting.

About you
You are passionate about safety and quality assurance and have an attention to detail that is dedicated to the success of our final product.
You have experience providing quality administrative support to Management, ensuring efficient and effective service including adept computer skills including MS Office Suite MS Teams, and using apps on a tablet.
You have proven experience working independently and collaboratively with others. Key to your success in this role is your ability to think outside the box and positively influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
You have an understanding of work procedures and guidelines and the ability to use your literacy and numeracy skills to accurately complete work records.
You are able to plan and organise your work in a high-volume area and complete a variety of tasks including checking safety and quality and entering information into systems and undertaking a range of other administrative processes in order to support maintenance objectives.
You may be required to work outside normal working hours and you must be prepared to live away from home (overnights) travel to various work locations away from the base station.
We are seeking applications for ongoing full-time roles in our Northern Bridges Team, located in Tamworth and Ballina. We are also seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities in Grafton.
