Position Overview
The Disability Support Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, community participation, and personal development in accordance with their individual support plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support that promotes dignity, choice, and independence.
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks as required.
- Support clients to participate in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Provide transport assistance to appointments and community engagements.
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and documentation in line with organisational policies.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in providing support to people with disability.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Commitment to professional conduct, confidentiality, and respect for individual rights.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
