About the Organisation
We are a growing disability support provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred services under the NDIS. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our team and ensure compliance with workplace legislation and industry standards.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR Coordinator/Officer to manage staff onboarding and provide ongoing HR support across the organisation. This role will focus on compliance, employee relations, and supporting management with HR matters, including workplace investigations and claims.
This is a part-time role (2 days per week) with flexibility in working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end onboarding, including contracts, inductions, and compliance checks
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, SCHADS Award, and NDIS requirements
- Provide HR advice and support on employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary processes
- Manage and support WorkCover claims and workplace injury processes
- Assist with Fair Work matters and claims, including documentation and process management
- Support workplace investigations, grievances, and HR issues
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
- Monitor compliance with mandatory checks (NDIS screening, WWCC, police checks)
- Support managers with probation reviews, staff development, and HR processes
- Contribute to improving HR systems, policies, and procedures
- Proficent with Brevity Care Software and Xero (mandatory)
About You
- Certificate IV in Human Resources (BSB40420) or equivalent
OR Diploma of Human Resource Management (BSB50320) or higher
- Proven experience in a HR Officer or HR Generalist role
- Strong, demonstrable experience working with the SCHADS Award (essential)
- Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation and employment compliance
- Experience managing WorkCover claims and return-to-work processes
- Experience handling or supporting Fair Work claims or disputes
- Strong background in employee relations and investigations
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters professionally
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience in the NDIS, disability, or aged care sector (highly regarded)
