As the Venue Support Officer , you'll be the welcoming face and trusted connection between the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre, Wellington Civic Centre and the many community groups, performing arts organisations, schools and event organisers who bring our venue to life.
From supporting local dance schools and community events to working with performers, hirers and cultural organisations, you'll play a key role in creating positive experiences and helping deliver memorable events across the region. This newly created 2-year contract opportunity provides unique exposure to the full breadth of DRTCC operations and the vibrant performing arts community that surrounds it. You'll work closely with clients from their initial enquiry through to event delivery, helping ensure their experience is seamless, professional and enjoyable while supporting Council policies and processes.

- You'll work with a great team to:
- Bring a diverse range of events to life, from community celebrations and graduations to performances, exhibitions and special events.
- Supporting clients and the community through their venue hire and event journey as the key point of contact for clients,
- Building and nurture positive relationships with community groups, performing arts organisations, schools, venue hirers and other key stakeholders
- Provide high-quality customer service and responsive support to clients and stakeholders.
- Through contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture where people support one another, celebrate success and work together to deliver exceptional community outcomes.
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Certificate III in Business Administration, event management or a similar field
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, customer relationships, event coordination, venue operations or a similar customer-focused environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders
Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the processes involved in carrying out diverse event booking functions from contract through to reconciliation of accounts
We would also love you to have:

Experience in the performing arts, events, venue hire, cultural, tourism or community sectors.
Experience using event booking, venue management or ticketing systems

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $70,498 to $81,930
