General Maintenance Person – Full Time
Location: Kalorama (Motel & Conference Centre)
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Person to join our team at a well-established Motel and Conference Centre set on 10 acres of landscaped grounds in Kalorama.
This is a full-time position suited to someone with a practical background and a strong work ethic who enjoys variety and working as part of a team.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the property, ensuring facilities, rooms, and grounds are maintained to a high standard for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- General building and property maintenance
- Minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work (where qualified/experienced)
- Grounds and external maintenance
- Preventative maintenance and repairs
- Assisting with room turnarounds and conference setup as required
- Working collaboratively with management and other staff
About You:
- Previous experience in maintenance, trade, or a hands-on role
- Background or skills in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work highly regarded
- Practical, self-motivated, and solution-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented
Requirements:
- Current driver’s licence
- Own reliable vehicle
- Physically capable of hands-on work
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
