Math Tutor – Sarai Academy
Casual / Flexible Role – In Person (Marsden Park, NSW)
Sarai Academy is currently looking for a motivated and reliable Mathematics Tutor to join our growing tutoring team. This role is ideal for a university student or recent graduate passionate about education and supporting high school students academically.
About the role
Sarai Academy is flexible tutoring delivering weekly HSC and high school maths sessions. We’re hiring one reliable, high-performing maths tutor part-time on a contract. You’ll teach using established methods and materials, consistency with the Sarai Academy approach is essential.
What you’ll teach
Mathematics Standard, Advanced, and Extension 1 (Years 11-12), and junior maths (Years 7-10). Strength across all levels preferred; strong Standard + Advanced required at minimum with Ext 1 preferred.
What we require
- Strong demonstrated maths results (HSC Band 5-6 in relevant courses, or equivalent university results — transcript required)
- Proven reliability: this is a lock-in contract and consistent attendance is non-negotiable
- Ability to explain concepts clearly to struggling students, not just solve problems
- Willingness to follow Sarai Academy’s teaching method and materials rather than improvising your own
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
