Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support the successful delivery of a major power generation project in Queensland. Reporting into the Project Commercial team, you will be responsible for managing procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to project completion, ensuring commercial, contractual and operational outcomes are achieved.
Working closely with project managers, engineering, construction and commercial stakeholders, you will coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment and subcontract services, administer subcontract packages and support the delivery team in managing commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to execution and close out, ensuring commercial and contractual objectives are achieved.

Prepare and manage RFT/RFQ documentation, evaluate submissions and provide commercial recommendations and risk assessments.

Coordinate commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value, cost and risk outcomes.

Administer subcontract agreements including progress claims, variations, performance management, dispute resolution and contract close out.

Work closely with project, engineering and commercial teams to identify, manage and communicate procurement and commercial risks.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Ensure procurement activities comply with contractual obligations, governance requirements and Monadelphous procedures.

Maintain accurate procurement, subcontract and commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll bring:

Experience in procurement, purchasing or subcontract administration within the Australian construction, mining, energy or infrastructure sectors.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, subcontract management and commercial principles.

Experience preparing RFQs/RFTs, evaluating tenders and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.

Ability to manage multiple procurement packages within a fast-paced project environment.
-
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
-
Experience supporting major EPC, construction or industrial projects is highly regarded.

Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline are desirable.
