IM Partners is recruiting exclusively on behalf of SA Construct for multiple Commercial Roofer roles to support current and upcoming project demand across priority work areas in northern Adelaide.
These are hands-on, site-based positions suited to experienced roofers who can work confidently across commercial roofing projects and contribute to safe, efficient and high-quality delivery on active construction sites. The roles suit people who can read plans, follow site programmes, work productively as part of a crew, and maintain quality under live construction conditions.
SA Construct is looking to expand its site capability with reliable and experienced commercial roofers who can step into the work and deliver across active projects.
The role
Roofers will carry out roofing installation and related site works across commercial construction projects, with a particular focus on northern Adelaide project locations. The role involves working with roofing systems, flashings, rainwater goods, sheet metal components and associated materials in accordance with project drawings, specifications, safety requirements and programme expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- installing commercial roofing systems in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- measuring, setting out, cutting, preparing and fixing roofing materials and associated components
- installing flashings, cappings, gutters, downpipes, penetrations and weatherproofing elements
- reading and interpreting plans, site measurements and installation details
- using hand tools, power tools and access equipment safely and effectively
- carrying out work at heights in accordance with site and safety requirements
- identifying defects, installation issues or site constraints and escalating them appropriately
- maintaining quality standards and ensuring finished work is compliant and fit for purpose
- working productively with supervisors, leading hands and other trades on site
- maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas
- complying with all site safety requirements, SWMS, policies and lawful directions
What we are looking for
To be considered, you will have:
- trade experience in commercial roofing
- demonstrated experience installing roofing systems on commercial construction projects
- ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements
- sound understanding of roofing installation methods, materials and safe work practices
- confidence working at heights and in active site environments
- reliable attendance, solid work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- a current White Card
- relevant tickets, licences or certifications required to perform the role lawfully and safely
The following will be viewed favourably:
- experience with cladding, architectural roofing or sheet metal roofing systems
- EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant site tickets
- experience across new build and live construction environments
- current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Employment details
These are full-time roles based in South Australia, with priority project locations in Northern and Southern Adelaide. Remuneration will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and will depend on experience, capability and overall fit for the role.
