About the role
We're seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join our QLD Field Operations team. This is a critical, client-facing role responsible for delivering exceptional quality survey services alongside project management and stakeholder engagement. You'll apply both technical expertise and cutting-edge tools across a range of field and data processing activities, providing professional advice in line with statutory regulations and contractual obligations.
We're open to candidates based anywhere across QLD, with flexible and remote working arrangements available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
- Undertake advanced surveying field work and data processing across varied locations, including cadastral re-establishment, subdivision, feature and level surveys, monitoring, earthworks, roads, rail, drainage, sewer, fixed plant and piping.
- Conduct cadastral surveying, including desktop review of existing and past surveys, field data capture and control establishment, to support title re-establishment and plan drafting.
- Maintain CAD skills to produce cadastral, feature and level plans, and prepare client reports, field cards and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and mentor field crews on complex surveys, and manage projects to ensure quality delivery against client requirements, including start-ups, debriefs and progress reporting.
- Liaise with clients, Project Managers and internal stakeholders, reviewing team deliverables and supporting technical process improvement and quality control.
- Maintain survey equipment and instruments, and uphold safety and quality standards across all work, including risk assessments and required documentation.
What you'll bring
- A minimum Diploma or Bachelor of Surveying (or related discipline).
- Registration as a Licensed Surveyor with the relevant state board (QLD/NSW).
- Previous experience in a surveying role or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of, and proficiency in, surveying tasks and data interpretation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Confident, proactive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Intermediate to advanced skills across Microsoft Office and internal IT systems.
- A commitment to safety, quality and client service, and to role-modelling MNG's values of Teamwork, Innovation and Knowledge.
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia and a current driver's licence.
