We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join a growing industrial processing operation in Warren, NSW. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will see you become a key member of the site leadership team while driving maintenance reliability, continuous improvement and operational performance.
This is more than a traditional maintenance role. As the site's second-in-charge (2IC), you will provide technical expertise, support day-to-day operations and play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of the plant.

Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs.

Perform mechanical maintenance on plant equipment including pumps, conveyors, valves and rotating equipment.

Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.

Support planned shutdowns and breakdown maintenance activities.

Provide operational support to production teams.

Act as shift leader when required.

Support OH&S systems, risk management and compliance activities.

Maintain maintenance records, work orders and spare parts inventory.

Identify and implement reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support plant upgrades, modifications and commissioning projects.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, processing or heavy industry environment.

Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capability.

Experience working with preventative maintenance systems.

Fabrication and workshop experience.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

The ability to lead by example and support operational teams.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Electrical troubleshooting experience will be highly regarded.
