About the Role:
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to provide personalised care to a client in their own home in Whale Beach. The role involves personal care, clinical support, diabetes management, medication assistance, and monitoring the client's wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Diabetes Management: Monitor the client's BGL as required and report any abnormal results or changes in their condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Insulin Administration: For ENs, safely administer insulin as prescribed, following the medication chart, care plan, and relevant medication safety procedures.
Medication Assistance: Assist the client with prescribed medications from a Webster medication pack, in accordance with the care plan, medication chart, and relevant procedures.
Personal Care: Provide respectful assistance with personal care and daily living activities while maintaining the client's dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence.
Clinical Monitoring: Monitor the client's general wellbeing and relevant observations, including oedema, and promptly report any changes or concerns.
Client-Centred Care: Build a positive and trusting relationship with the client while respecting their choices, routines, preferences, and individual needs.
Communication & Escalation: Communicate effectively with the client, family, and relevant healthcare professionals, escalating health or medication concerns when required.
Documentation & Care Plans: Maintain accurate care records and follow the client's individual care plan, clinical instructions, medication orders, and organisational procedures.
Professional Practice: Work within your scope of practice, follow workplace health and safety requirements, maintain confidentiality, and comply with relevant policies and professional standards.

Essential Requirements For Enrolled Nurses
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Diploma of Nursing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full and valid Australian driver's licence
- Relevant experience with diabetes management and medication assistance
For AINs
- Relevant AIN qualification or demonstrated experience in personal care/community support
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full and valid Australian driver's licence
- Ability to work within the role's scope of practice and follow clinical direction
