What you'll do
As the Manager Program Delivery, you will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of complex projects and the broader program of work, applying contemporary project management and governance methodologies to achieve strategic outcomes. You will provide high-level advice to senior executives on project progress, risks, opportunities and implementation approaches, while preparing executive briefs, reports and submissions. The role is responsible for establishing robust governance frameworks, overseeing project budgets, contracts, procurement activities and resource allocation, and ensuring effective stewardship of public resources. You will build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture through leadership and staff development, monitor and analyse project performance to inform evidence-based decision-making, and represent the Branch and Department on committees, working groups and forums to support organisational priorities and continuous improvement.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated success leading complex projects from planning to implementation through application of specialised project management methodologies.
Demonstrated expertise managing complex health system projects in a dynamic and politically sensitive environment.
Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative strategic advice and prepare high-quality executive briefings, submissions, reports and correspondence.
Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills, with experience building effective partnerships across government, healthcare and external organisations.
Demonstrated understanding of the Queensland public health system, health service delivery and government decision-making processes would be highly regarded.
